The Alberto Collection

A furniture collection inspired by the whimsical yet sinister art of Alberto Giocometti. Swiss artist of the 20th century, he became widely known for his sculptures of human figures with exaggerated, attenuated proportions, inspired by the terror of World War II. Alberto Giacometti explained that he does not sculpt the figure directly, but rather the shadow that is cast. A key player in the Surrealist art movement, his work blurred lines between fantasy and reality and explored deeper themes of sexuality, obsession, and trauma.
