GANZO.

Located in Florence, Italy, this coworking cafe is designed for the students of FUA, inspired by the 1960 Fellini Film 'La Dolce Vita.' The concept of the film comes from the conflicting feelings involved in choosing a life direction, a sentiment we found particularly relatable among the study abroad students. From there, our design developed around a space planning that allowed for people to explore different parts of themselves through separate activity areas that blend seamlessly into one space. A place to study, discover new literature and films, and enjoy the charm of Italian courtyards. This cafe is a place to meet new people, as well as grab a coffee and chat for hours with the same friends. Taking inspiration from Italian design of the 1960s, Ganzo pairs a neutral envelope with saturated pops of red and green, complemented by warm wood tones and deep, inviting seating. The result is a laid-back atmosphere that balances comfort with a sleek, sophisticated aesthetic.
